Give us a memorable Miami moment: July 4th 2003- Grand Opening of MIA Skate Shop, the birth of my son & daughter, and every day...
Favorite skate spot: Spots that I can have fun at.
Favorite chill spot: mi casa
Most played out spot in Miami: Nothing is played out. It's all about personal expression. Style & trick selection is the key.
Scariest Miami moment: 2005 Hurricane Wilma. Boarded up the shop and raced home to do the same. Got home, went into my garage and grabbed the first big metal shutter. All the shutters were stacked up against each other long ways against the wall. As I grabbed the first shutter the entire stack proceeded to fall on top of me and pin me to the ground. It had to be 500 plus pounds or so. The neighbors had to come over and lift them up so I could shimmy out from under them. The shutters had sliced me up a bit and luckily they didn't kill my ass. Scary, random accident... Went to the hospital, every thing was cool, got back home at 1:00am. The hurricane pummeled our area. We stayed up all night with no power, windows blew out, and two mango trees were knocked out in our backyard. Good times...
First influential skate video: Sick Boys, Search for Animal Chin, H-Street- Shackle me Not. And soon after- Love Child & Blind -Video Days.
Favorite city to skate(outside of Miami): San Francisco
What motivates you: My wife & kids, the MIA crew, the happiness that we bring to our MIA customers and lots of coffee.
What are you working on right now: I'm working on not being a dick head, being a better husband & father, the MIA video, MIA online store, and more skateboarding...
Habla Espanol?: si, muy bien! Nah, Todavía estoy aprendiendo. I'm still Gringo as hell...
